So you might well assume the recent blog silence resulted from me being squirrelled away in For The Rabbits HQ working on my End of Year lists, and in fact, that was actually my original intent. With that said, as Robert Burns famously put it, the best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men gang aft a-gley, and in this case, the plan was rudely and wonderfully interrupted by the slightly earlier than intended arrival of my smash hit debut son.
As such, I’ve got my hands full, in both the literal and physical senses of the words, and I’ll be taking some time out from the blog for a Paternity Leave of sorts. I’ll be back in the New Year at some point with all the usual end-of-year content (I’m sure nobody will be that bothered by 2023 content by then, but traditions are traditions) and then into 2024, with whatever this blog looks like in this exciting new world of parenthood.
Thanks for sticking with me this year, and over the last decade, and here’s to the next era.

Enjoy your Holiday, and best of luck with your new adventure. You make a difference by providing me music recommendations that I would otherwise be unaware of.
All the best for you and thank you for the music!
On the one hand, I’m very sad because MFR is one of my main resources for new music. On the other hand, I am happy with you about your new son. From my own experience I can say that the first 40 years of fatherhood are the best. Enjoy.

My Best wishes for your family ! Take your time and you’re welcome back when ready! Happy 2024 !!
Congrats!
That is a phenomenal reason for delay!
