You may already know Kobayashi Night as a gig/club-night that has put on shows in London and Barcelona, but mainly just London. This Friday, the night will be branching out into the world of being a record label, releasing a compilation featuring many of the bands who’ve played their night in the past. The CD release is accompanied by an intergalactic football comic, as well as some prints of the night’s hand-drawn gig posters.

Today we’re delighted to exclusively stream the whole compilation, featuring new music from some of our favourite fixtures on the London DIY-scene, as well as plenty of people we’ve never heard of but like an awful lot. Outsider Riot-Pop heroes, The Ethical Debating Society, offer the typically ferocious Paywall, GOLDBLOOMS channel their inner Los Campesinos! on Hellomire, while the new to us Megaflora shine on the jittering, Joanna Gruesome like noise-pop of Anxious. Elsewhere there’s further intriguing offerings from the likes of electro-poppers Mega Emotion, the meanderingly epic Mardemarmo and the joyous jangle of Just Blankets. Check out the stream below, and then head over to Bandcamp to pre-order up your copy.
